DIVERTA EDUCATIONAL CENTRES
GIVE A CHANCE TO DILIGENT STUDENTS 



- Wouldn’t you like your own child to hurry up to school in order to participate to the joy of learning alongside with his friends?

- To come back with enthusiasm regarding things discovered at school?

- To be provided with food, ensured during classes, homework done ... with small projects and interests for communication, school debates, school magazines, play chess and learn the English language.

All these are made possible and are actually happening! The RTC foundation supported the idea of school after school as a meeting place for Diverta inside the community. A location dedicated to knowledge, providing appropriate relationships and good-humour, industry, friendship, collaboration, competition and honest rewarding.

The beneficial collaboration between RTC Foundation and the School Inspectorate of Bucharest Municipality led to the setting up of Diverta Education Centres. Beginning with the 15th of December, three schools located in three different districts from Bucharest (3rd district – school no. 8, 4th district – School no. 194, 6th district – School no. 117) became pilot-units used for experiencing this project. The activity proposed consisted in daily assistance of after-school time, through the aid granted for doing the homework and also, by providing some alternative solutions for spending the spare time, within a rousing environment from a cultural point of view. 

WHAT HAPPENS NOWADAYS?

Some 72 students from the above mentioned schools, diligent students who do not receive family support during school year, benefit from the offer provided by Diverta Education Centres: they are assisted during the performance of their homework by promoters and volunteers of the Foundation and are involved in various inter and extra school projects (school magazine, school competitions, contests). Students enjoy it and revealed their enthusiasm regarding the existence of the Educational Centre inside their school.  Through the club, (as they called it...) friendships have been stroke up, modern and efficient learning modalities have been experimented, various activities for encouraging team work have been designed, knowledge contests have been organized!
At their turn, the school staff display a positive attitude, interested and involved in the activities performed by Educational Centres. Some of them actively involve therein - except for the enlistment of children and interestedly participate to activities, being a priceless support for the promoters of the Foundation.

WHICH ARE OUR FUTURE PROSPECTS?

Homework assistance is only one but the most substantiate objective targeted by our team. As future perspective, the Education Centre aims at approaching culture and civilization by children and young people. We also wish our children, by means of play and teaching activities on age groups within a nice and non-binding environment, would develop their affiliation feelings to community. The education centre COULD trigger, by means of reading and information storing activities, a positive change of attitude of students towards colleagues, teachers, family, school, community. We hope that our beneficiaries would eventually become, volunteers for activities developed by the Foundation, supporters and promoters of ideas regarding behavioural and action-related ideas by approaching culture. Each person is stimulated to find his/her role inside the community, as we all know that TOGETHER, WE CAN ONLY SUCCEED!
